Project One: Increasing Water Capacity in Al-Auja, West Bank

2016: BIP partnered with a date farming community in the village of Al-Auja in the West Bank. The farmers in Al-Auja identified a key problem of high electricity cost for pumping water which reduced their ability to access water for farming.

BIP worked with both Palestinian and Israeli engineers and agricultural experts on both sides of the border to implement the project and provide training to farmers in the community. In June 2016, we successfully installed a solar facility which reduced water pumping costs and increased the Al-Auja community's access to water.

Project Two:  Greenhouse:        Wadi Fukin, West Bank

2017: BIP partnered with a farming community in Wadi Fukin, West Bank. BIP funded and built a greenhouse for lettuce which the Israeli residents of Tzur Hadassa are now purchasing fresh produce from.
